So What! Now What?, The Coaching
Guide for Leaders and Managers, is a road map identifying the most
common growth areas that emerge from feedback or performance appraisals.
Few people have the luxury of a daily executive coach to help them.
So What! Now What? scripts the actual
behaviors that need to be demonstrated for success in areas of individual
and team development. You may have technical expertise. However,
unless you are successful in working with and through other people,
your chances of overall effectiveness are compromised.
As Daniel Goleman, Emotional Intelligence (E.I.) guru, notes in
his book Primal Leadership, “our rule of thumb is
that EI contributes 80 to 90 percent of the competencies that distinguish
outstanding from average leaders--and sometimes more.”
Desire to change is not sufficient. Identifying and monitoring
behavior changes allows for true and substantial progress toward
effectiveness. We have the fundamental belief that leaders and managers
do want to grow and develop.
